Job Description and Requirements

MEP Manager - Major Exhibition Programme 

Reporting to the senior technical manager, this role will be responsible for all aspects of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing scope of works for participants’ pavilions delivery project. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple MEP works packages in parallel.
  • Reviewing the pavilion consultant designs.
  • Preparing presentation, spreadsheet and reports to support the management.
  • Supporting in liaison and coordination of the stakeholder authorities (DEWA, DM, DCD and DS) where required.
  • Validating loads based on the infrastructure master plan.
  • Interfacing and coordinating with the infrastructure team.
  • Assisting in technical coordination meetings with consultants, contractors and utility providers.
  • Reviewing of pre-construction documentation provided by the contractor including material submittals.

The requirements 

Your experience, knowledge and skills need to include:

  • With 8 years’ professional experience with 3 years’ experience on major projects is preferred.
  • Dubai building experience is essential for client approval.
  • Experience in fit-out and MEP approval process is desirable.
  • Experience in dealing with managers of line management support organisations and their respective work package managers.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and low voltage systems.
  • Good knowledge of Dubai Civil Defence requirements, including firefighting system for complex buildings to assist country and corporate participants throughout their design.
  • Strong quality assurance skills is an advantage.
  • Good ICT systems knowledge.
  • Pro-active, focused on quality products.
  • Flexibility in changing requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work closely with peers and external customers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skill is essential.


  • A degree qualification in mechanical, electrical or building services engineering is essential for client approval.
  • Professional memberships i.e. CIBSE, IMechE, MEIT and PMP is preferred.
