Media Specialist

Job Description and Requirements

Responsibilities and Accountability

The Media Specialist possesses strong expertise in the execution of the company’s Media Strategy, working closely with key stakeholders (internal and external). He/She are experienced with content development. It is preferred that they have at least 8 years of experience within a Media capacity. 

The incumbent demonstrates competence which stretches across all social media community channels (Facebook; Instagram; Twitter; Google, etc). Capability extends to the identification, design and development of appropriate strategies to update website. The Media Specialist recognizes the need to identify the target audience considering demographics amongst other factors such as budget; measurable objectives; alignment to business goals. He/She can optimize varying mediums to promote effective branding. He/ She have good knowledge of branding, SEO and metrics to evaluate effectiveness. 

The incumbent has good skills in graphic design and can execute the other functions’ needs in areas such as PowerPoint development. The incumbent should be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite especially Illustrator, In Design and Photoshop programs. The ability to edit videos is highly desirable.


The incumbent meets the requirements of the role by: 
- Ensuring alignment to the business objectives 
- Managing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) – assessing the ranking position 
- Assessing risk and handling damage mitigation 
- Developing appropriate editorial content 
- Regularly engaging with external markets 
- Adapting to new technologies as applicable 
- Liaise with Dubai Media Office & other bodies 
- Staying abreast of key messages

The Media Expert maintains strong stakeholder skills across the organization on a frequent basis.
