Merchandising Supervisor

Job Description and Requirements


Responsible for coordinating and communicating with customers on what items to purchase and driving team to maintain the right level of stocks at store and keep regular track on the same to ensure effective inventory management at stores.

Customer Relationship Management 

• Building strong relationship with the customers to understand the store’s requirements and needs. 
• Coordinate with customers and based on consumption analysis, design a plan capturing items and the optimized inventory level to be purchased and maintained for the customers and share the same with the area sales incharge for the review and analysis

Inventory Management

• Share the detailed inventory plan with the team to manage the right level of inventory at the customer stores and guide and mentor them to implement the same. 
• Ensure the effective inventory management by guiding team on restocking shelves with product from inventory, observing inventory levels and sharing inputs on reordering when levels appear low.
• Provide guidance to the team on handling of any damaged products and making arrangements for return and credit.
• Guide the team on setting-up displays, observing customer reaction and forwarding observations to management etc. 
• Enhance merchandising and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Competitive Landscape Analysis

• Keep abreast with the changing market and competitive conditions across dairy and poultry products by monitoring competitor products, sales and marketing activities, inventory and display layouts

Customer Intelligence

• Understand the customers’ needs based on the findings gathered through daily interaction with the customer


• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Sales and Marketing.
