Job title: Accounting Coordinator

Department: Finance  

Location: Istanbul/Turkey 

Role purpose:

We are currently seeking an experienced, and thorough Accounting Coordinator to join our rapidly growing firm. In this role, you will demonstrate your management skills and accounting expertise in a variety of corporate accounting practices in many countries, including overseeing cost accounting and taxes. You must be highly accurate and efficient, utilizing your vast knowledge, upholding our standard of exceptional customer service, and, above all else, ensuring that consistent, accurate accounting work is provided

 

Scope of role:

 

Reports to: Finance Manager

Reporting to: None

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Monitor the accounting activities according to company policies and international financial standards regulations.
  • Perform regular accounting analysis and reporting to finance manager as needed.
  • Perform month-end accounting activities.
  • Monitor expenditures analyze revenues per projects and determine budget variances and report on to the management.
  • Prepare the data on Quick books to reflect the annual financial statement of the company.
  • Continuously Evaluate the currently used accounting software (Quick Books) procedures and provide recommendations for performance improvements.
  • Generate financial reports and statements to Finance manager for review.
  • Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
  • Lead the auditing activities by preparing the requested documentations and providing necessary information.
  • Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures and policies.
  • Oversee the processing of VAT, income and payroll taxes within the countries where the company works
  • Coordinate with finance/admin team to ensure that assigned accounting tasks are completed within the set deadlines.
  • Provide guidance to the team when needed.
  • Other needed tasks as required to complete the role purpose.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • University Degree in Accounting related field.
  • At least 6 years’ experience in accounting role
  • At least 2 year’ experience in QuickBooks software is a must.
  • Experience in dealing with Taxation
  • Computer proficiency, MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good English, Arabic both spoken and written, Turkish is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and to deal with pressure;
  • Well-organized
