Project Coordinator

Job Description and Requirements
  • *Job Summary**

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of assigned projects within the engineering department. He will discuss and agree with the senior projects coordinator on the allocation of needed resources for new 

projects and ensure the delivery of the design stage tasks on time, in line with the quality plan and to the agreed resource allocations. 

Job Duties: 

+ Responsible for the coordination of the delivery of a range of engineering management tasks for assigned SAC 

+ projects. 

+ Prepare projects status reports and updated delivery schedule for the assigned projects 

+ Understand scope of work of any new project and coordinate with assigned engineers for the delivery of the project. 

+ Update and follow up manhour utilization and reports project progress. 

+ Implement the entity quality plan and ensure the department engineering tasks are carried out in line with the department processes and procedures. 

+ Coordinate with the construction project managers and the project assigned engineers for the review of design change proposals of construction contract. 

+ Support Strategic Planning department in the initiation of new projects to understand clients requirement and provide brief to the department members. 

+ Interface with third-party A/E companies and follow up project progress 

+ Implement engineering deliverables management system based on earned value methodology 

+ Ensure integration of scope of work and interdisciplinary design coordination and delivery of project on time. 

+ Check A/E companys deliverables for completion, and distribute to discipline engineers, and collate reviews and comments and forwarding the same to the Senior Projects Coordinator. 

+ Prepare design review report for department management approval and delivery to the A/E companies.

  • *Minimum Requirements**

+ Previous experience in project planning, project management, engineering management 

+ Previous experience in a similar role having overall engineering coordination responsibility and heading a team of engineers 

+ Previous experience of working on international projects as well as in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or other Middle East Countries. 

+ Have proven design delivery coordination and project management experience, delivering to quality, time and budget.

  • *Preferred Qualifications**

+ Bachelors degree in engineering discipline from an accredited university. 

+ Strong technical skills in a range of areas of infrastructures and buildings 

+ Strong project management, planning and control skills 

+ Be able to lead team of professionals and develop their skills 

+ Confident with proven interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skill proficiency
