Quest Search & Selection is working with a Group of Hotels that are seeking a very unique Sous Chef for one of their properties in Oman (below 150 keys). 

We ideally are looking for candidates with experience International cuisine in hotels across GCC. This position is immediately available.

Job Description:
As a Sous Chef of this hotel, your responsibilities will include:
• Being the second in charge of day to day operation of the kitchen
• Overseeing the staff and payroll (10 staff members)
• Ensuring consistency and food quality in all the outlets of the hotel (3 outlets)
• Assist the Executive Chef with Budgeting and Forecasting, P&L Control
• Leading the kitchen operation in the absence of the Executive Chef

OMR 600 to 700 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Profile expectations of an Ideal Candidate (Sous Chef):
• Maintains purchasing, receiving and food storage standards
• Support staff development building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
• Encourage innovation and new ideas to generate revenue
• Strive to exceed targets - self, team and revenue
• Assists the Executive Chef with Menu creation
• Training all the new team members

Requirements for an Ideal Candidate (Sous Chef):
• Extremely high standards and attention to detail
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Minimum 3 years experience as Junior Sous Chef/ Sous Chef in Hotels in GCC
• PIC Certificate
