Senior Consultant / Integrated Health Solutions (IHS)

Job Description and Requirements

Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team members are seasoned professionals with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain, as well as breadth of experience across multiple disciplines. They partner with hospital management teams and payers to drive complex transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways and optimize operations. 


As Medtronic Integrated Health Managing Consultant, you will connect with clients, understand their most pressing business problems and deliver high value services which improve the productivity, quality and competitiveness of the Healthcare System. You will also be responsible for the expansion and professionalization of our consulting service offering and for managing expectations and high quality service delivery towards our customers. You will also manage and drive full end-to-end operational excellence and pathway optimization projects and managed services programs with key strategic customer accounts in Europe. 


· Facilitate collaboration and business integration along the Healthcare Value Chain 

· Partner with strategic Hospital accounts to drive complex transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways and optimize operations 

· Influence key stakeholders by developing well-articulated situation analysis and business case for change 

· Identify, frame and prioritize initiatives to capture value, and establish road-map and develop actionable plans / project portfolios for immediate improvement and costs savings 

· Drive implementation, coach and develop local project or staff resources 

· Capture learning and best-practices and continuously enrich Medtronic consulting toolbox 

· Manage full end-to-end projects / programs and performing day to day coaching and mentoring activities to the service delivery team 

· Periodically prepare portfolio reviews of the partnership program with steering com (HIS + customer) to track status, progress and measure economic value and customer satisfaction

As part of the Medtronic Integrated Health Solutions Consultancy Community, consultants should be able to:

· Work together as a team to develop new service offerings out of pilot projects 

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).
  • Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.
  • Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams.
  • Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
  • Collects data to identify root cause of problems.
  • Measures performance against process requirements.
  • Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
  • Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
  • May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
  • Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.
  • Communicates team progress.
  • Performs cost and benefit analyses.

· Advanced Education Degree (Masters preferred) 

· Experienced with the use of process optimization methodologies (BPR; lean sigma). 

· MS Access, PowerPoint, Excel 

· Excellent English language and must be fluent in Arabic language 


· 8+ years of relevant consultancy experience in managing complex assignments 

· Healthcare industry knowledge or experience 

· Lean Six Sigma experience (MBB level) 

· Understanding impact of Quality / Regulatory requirements 

· Experience in Change management / Change Transformations 

· Strong and demonstrable project management skills: planning & coordinating, communicating & influencing, relationship building, achieving milestones, resolving issues and managing risks 

· Demonstrated ability to operate from idea generation, strategy development through detailed implementation and results delivery 

· Experience of how to work and communicate in international environments preferably in Matrix.

· Project management, and leading to results through influence 

· Strong communication skills & Presentation skills 


Willingness to travel within and outside Lebanon(25-50%)
