Projects Officer - IT

Job Description and Requirements

To continue its ambitious expansion, the company is currently moving to next generation applications and development of IT infrastructure with a multi-year business and IT transformation. In order to support IT PMO and achieve this aggressive growth, Alshaya is currently looking for an experienced IT PMO Governance Officer - Reporting to join the IT PMO Function. This role reports into our Head of IT Projects and is based in Kuwait. We are looking for an experienced person who will take on the management of key governance reporting packs, securing delivery on time and quality, with key portfolio performance indicators.

The role:

• Responsible for identifying various reporting needs at different levels of governance.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Program Managers in establishing reporting KPI’s and agree and develop on reporting templates.
• Agree with PMO on reporting schedule in line with communication plan and steering governance for the program Board.
• Collation of Program and Projects Board Packs 
• Collation of Weekly Reporting Packs 
• Initial QA of Weekly Reports 
• Ensures PMO reporting document Standards/Repository 
• Conduct Phoenix Stagegate Process – Prep of packs with PM’s 
• Manages Centrally Lessons Learnt Log & follow on Actions 
• Conduct PMO Lessons Learnt Reviews 
• Ensures corporate policies and procedures on corporate reporting within Alshaya and with our partners in regard to information security and otherwise are adhered to by the PMO in every project delivered.

Requirements:

• 5+ year work experience with at least 3 years proven track record in successfully leading and delivering reporting for transformational PMO.
• Proficient in reporting tools including MS Office 365. 
• Proven track record of having developed quality reporting packs for similar organizations.
• Have good knowledge of functioning of PMO, Project Management and a fair understanding of the business and IT functions in retail environment.
• General awareness of various application technologies that include ERP, planning, EPOS, analytics, digital/ECOMM, CRM, cloud, mobility, networking, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS.
• Retail experience would be advantageous

Necessary skills:

• Proficient in reporting tools including MS Office 365. 
• Able to understand, reflect and align to the reporting needs of the stakeholders.
• Focus on producing relevant, accurate and need based information at the time agreed by the program board. 
• Proven ability to think strategically and to innovate with a passion for emerging next generation dashboards.
• Knowledge of industry standard retail business best practices in corporate reporting dashboards.
• Ability to problem solve, influence with excellent networking skills.
• Well structured, delivery focused.
• Highly collaborative with strong communication skills.
• Technical management and understanding, analyzing information.
