Sr. Production Operations Engineer

Job Description and Requirements
JOB SUMMARY: The Sr. Production Operations Engineer will be company’s representative at site and deliver on all aspects of services (pre-commissioning, commissioning and plant Operations) we provide to our clients in the oil & gas upstream process industry. The Sr. Process Engineer will be part of the Services team and advise and support the Organisation in Services matters and contribute in developing offers.   FUNCTION OBJECTIVES:
  • Installation of units at sites and workshops both national and international.
  • Precommissioning / Commissioning supervision activities
  • Start-up of process units, including optimizing processes, test etc.
  • Plan, manage and execute service inspections of process units, including troubleshooting, optimizing of operation and tests as well as control of units and Management of Change (MOC) documentation
  • Supervise the operation of Oil treatment and Produced water treatment plant consisting of Separators, Electrostatic Coalesces, PWT packages, pumps etc.
  • Managing team of operators, Supervise a multi-cultural team of Asst. Engineers, Technicians and sub-contractors.
  • Continuous monitoring of process parameters and act accordingly. Decision making during emergencies.
  • Recover Process upsets, DCS Trend analysis, Trouble shooting, problem solving & Organizational abilities.
  • To co-ordinate with production operators and control room engineers for Plant operation, startup, stabilization & shutdown and effective team leader.
  • Risk Assessment, implementation of risk mitigation measures and owner of risk assessment matrix.
  • Instruct and train operating personnel at site or training center
  • Willingness to travel is required.
  • Mentoring and training of new Operations / Service Engineers.

  • Carry out a given task in accordance to the set policies, execution models, procedures etc., using agreed common tools and systems
  • Integration and co-operation with the other disciplines in the company     Colleagues:
  • Work closely with colleagues in order to reach the common and shared goals for the Services team     The Company:
  • Ensure promotion of NOV and Wellstream Processing products portfolio
  • Ensure appropriate reporting to Management
  • Ensure interface and coordination with other discipline teams
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Engineering Degree (Chemical / Process) or equivalent   EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within oil and gas industries
  • Having experience in operating process plants and packages
  • Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus
      SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:   Formal Competence and experience
  • Technical education within process or mechanical or e&i
  • Experience Site services and commissioning
  • Experience in the Oil and gas industry
  • Fluent in English
  • Other languages nice to have   Personal characteristics:
