Administrative Assistant and Receptionist

Job Description and Requirements

Role Specific/Purpose:

The purpose of the Admin Assistant/Receptionist position is to support Line manager in accomplishing administrative and events tasks under NRC policy and procedures and in assisting in providing a high quality, professional reception services and tasks to NRC Middle East Regional Office and Syria Response Office staff as well as NRC visitors and guests. Excellent representative of NRC and handle all enquirers efficiently and courteously.



The receptionist will be responsible for welcoming NRC visitors and referring them to different units in the office, he/she will be responsible for tracking visitors and taking care of their waiting area in addition to overall responsibility for the reception area and support in event preparation .


Ideal Candidate Profile:

B.A degree in Administration, hospitality or any other related field.

Minimum experience of 2 Years in working with in administration at Banking or / and Financial Auditing Agencies Sectors, CRES Department …. etc.

A committed, diplomatic, and energetic person with good presentation abilities and good sense of responsibility on the job.

A multitasking person, and details oriented. Someone good in dealing with different people and welcoming visitors in a good manner. Someone with Knowledge of administrative, clerical procedures, computers and relevant software application.

Should have excellent verbal communication skills (Arabic & English) great customer service skills also are a must 

Key Job Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Welcome and greet visitors to the NRC office, and direct them accordingly or escort them to specific destinations.
  • Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization.
  • Support in arranging for the organization requested seminar, workshops and trainings session requested and approved in Strategy. And maintain updating event calendars by liaising with direct line manager.
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.
  • Organize conference and meeting room bookings.
  • Handling in and out post mails and couriers
  • Co-ordinate meetings and organize catering.
  • Monitor and maintain office equipment.
  • Tidy and maintain the reception area.
  • Keep a record of staff and visitors signing in and out of the building
