Job Location is in UAE-Dubai 

Organisation Unit Purpose:
Enable successful transition towards agile development methodology from a software testing perspective and achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering agile. Ensure that necessary Quality Control processes are followed and applied in the space of platform, data and Infra initiatives. 
 This test chapter will ensure that initiatives follow the Group IT governance processes along with:

  • Increased quality of applications
  • Improved balance of expertise between application and technology focused staff
  • Standardized use of tools 
  • Reduced cost of testing due to elimination of overlapping effort
  • Ensure software product released is sufficiently tested
  • Ensure applying the Functional and nonfunctional test.
  • Automate as much as can of the testing activities.
  • Improved release management process on the non-production environments.
  • Improved effectiveness of application support

Increased efficiency in test chapter leading to less testing time and thus increased productivity and improved user satisfaction.
 

Job Purpose:
The Senior Testing Engineerreports to VP- Test chapter and is responsible for ensuring that all of the software testing responsibilities are carried out. He will ensure that necessary Quality Control processes have been followed in delivering the solutions in the space of Agile, platform, data and Infra initiatives.

Senior Testing Engineermust have in depth knowledge of all applications underdevelopment with the development team in the squad, as well as all latest testing technologies and methodologies and the associated testing parameters and criteria. He should also have understanding of business requirements and ability to translate to testing scripts. 

Key Results:

Test and Deliver the IT Software programs according to business requirements.

  • Drive consistent standards and approaches throughout the team. 
  • Keep current with new technologies & techniques
  • Lead and oversee the development of complete and accurate test plans. 
  • Design & implement manual and automated testing
  • Ensure each software product released is sufficiently tested.

Service Level Management

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within development team.
  • Ensure Services are meeting SLA

Education:

  • IT-based degree, university degree, or equivalent work experience required.

Experiences:

  • At least 7yrs experience in software testing. 
  • 4+ years Banking experience.
  • General banking and business area knowledgesuchretail,wholesaleand core banking applications.

Knowledge & Skills:

Technical/Functional: 

  • Strong understanding of Software life cycle. (development & testing)
  • Strong understanding of the high level technical application architecture and design.
  • Strong understanding to the technical application risks, security, compliance and Audit requirements.
  • Have thorough experience in implementing full life cycle of a project. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile software development – scrum approach. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Waterfall and V-model software development lifecycle 
  • Knowledge and understanding of software testing principle , practice ,process , methods , Techniques and tools
  • Solid experience on test planning and strategy.
  • Solid experience on specification, structure and experience based test design. 
  • Solid experience on functional and nonfunctional test.
  • Knowledge on Defect Management tool.
  • Strong on creating test plan, test cases, test status and test closure report.
  • Knowledge in Database Operations.
  • Basic Knowledge with Performance Testing Techniques e.g. Jmeter / Loadrunner
