Business Development and Community Manager

Job Description and Requirements

We are looking for a young, bilingual, entrepreneurial and self-motivated person to lead business development and build a vibrant community at Workspace. The person will initially work intimately under the founder of the concept, Mohamad Haj Hasan, and learn from him in a semi-apprenticeship role. Mohamad has launched a couple of technology companies, including Akhtaboot and Jawaker.

The responsibilities will be varied, and will include:

  • Updating and maintaining the Workspace web presence (a mobile-friendly website and social media channels).
  • Designing and launching online marketing campaigns for Workspace. This includes creative campaigns on social media (Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram) as well as search engine marketing (Google AdWords).
  • Managing the sales process of leads, including negotiating bespoke contracts and dealing with international clients.
  • Designing and overseeing a customer service driven approach to managing current tenants, and reinventing the service offering based on customer feedback. This involves heavy community building and community management through unique events that aim to increase customer happiness and retention.
  • Continuously thinking about and creating value-added services for current tenants that are revenue generating for Workspace, including (but not limited to) food services, payroll services, driver services etc.
  • Learning about the third-party technologies that are being used to manage the space, and finding new technologically enabled ideas that can drive customer acquisition and satisfaction.
  • Working closely with the founder on all expansion projects of new spaces in Jordan.

We are looking for someone who is willing and excited to learn anything, even if it doesn’t include the responsibilities above. This will also include hiring and managing personnel and strategizing growth into multiple locations. Experience is not as important as attitude. You must be a self-learner who thinks outside the box, and be someone who is excited about building something rather than just checking off tasks given to you. If you are someone who wants to learn a lot about a lot, loves to work with people of different backgrounds, and do a lot of different things in the areas of marketing and business development, then apply to this role!
