Diabetes Senior Marketing and Training Specialist – Emerging Africa

Job Description and Requirements

Responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:

  • Leads and coordinates product planning, product launches, product management, demand planning, market development and market research activities.
  • Facilitates and coordinates marketing activities with geographic areas to increase teamwork and build partnerships.
  • Works individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion. Responsibilities may also include: coordinating trade show activities, website development, developing future e-commerce strategies, and tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions.
  • Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house products’ training programs for field support personnel and customers; prepares training materials and course content, conducts on-site education and consulting.
  • Provides sales personnel with technical data necessary for the demonstration and selling of products.
  • Provides technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company product.
  • Maintains communication with customers to ensure effectiveness of training.


Must Have – Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmaceutical sciences, Engineering, Life-science, Marketing, BA or another relevant degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of selling and marketing or training experience in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry, preferably diabetes products 
  • Excellent verbal communications skills, facilitation and problem-solving skills, relationship building skills
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Willingness to travel; 25 – 50% of time
  • Valid driver license
