Software Team Leader - PowerTrain Systems

CO2 emission-reduction solutions: ● Stop-Start system: Valeo was the first supplier to offer customers this system that automatically shuts the engine off when a vehicle is at a standstill, saving as much as 15> in fuel consumption in dense urban traffic. ● Mild-hybrid technology (48V): Valeo is working on innovative hybrid solutions that require less fuel consumption and lead to lower CO₂ emissions. ● Electric Supercharger: Improves vehicle performance by up to 27> without increasing fuel consumption. 

Being part of software development team in PTS-PEL (PowerTrain Systems Electronics): - Designs and makes all the power and control electronics for the Powertrain Systems Business Group. - The Team is delivering software to most premium Manufacturers such as Porsche, Daimler, VW, Audi, PSA, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover... - Has the opportunity to work as part of small teams & enhance skills in different parts of the Software that ranges from AutoSAR stacks configuration and Boot-loader development to Micro-controller drivers development, MCAL configuration & Complex Drivers development. - Using advanced software technologies such as AUTOSAR basic software drivers, Bootloader, Real Time Operating Systems, CAN and Flexray communication, Vehicle diagnostic and Software Safety. - Has the responsibility to travel & support other PTS teams in France, Norway, India & China...

  • Responsibilities

- Manage development of microcontroller platform Driver components 

- Manage requirement analysis & elicitation for BSW Components. 

- Monitor individual employees Performance. 

- Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum Performance levels and career development. 

- Review and approve employee's rating, bonus, & salary for the whole team. 

- Perform appraisals interviews for direct reports and plan career path development. 

- Handle technical responsibility for the project (quality and correct functionality of deliverables). 

- Review time sheets & attendance and employees issues and concerns. 

- Train and coach team members. 

- Follow up with Team members on open actions. 

- Responsible for Quality audit & compliance findings. - 

- Identify project specific training. 

- Follow up on the projects as per defined projects reporting mechanisms. 

- Responsible for improving project team members’ efficiency.

  • Education/Training

- B.Sc. in Communication, Mechatronics, Electronics or Computer Engineering. 

- B.Sc. in Computer Science. 

- At least two years experience in leadership position. 

  • Requirements

From 5 to 10 years of relevant experience 

Excellent command of English is a must 

Technical Qualification: 

- Excellent experience in software engineering (requirement, design, development, validation) 

- Basic Software & MCAL Experience 

- Autonomous in development methodologies and testing techniques 

- Excellent experience with software of small embedded devices (Microcontrollers) 

- Skilled in scripting skills 

- Excellent electronics knowledge 

- Skilled in CAN, LIN & SPI 

- Autonomous in HW and SW debugging 

- Training conduction experience - 

Automotive SPICE is a plus 

- Skilled in Bootloaders and Diagnostics is a plus 

- Skilled in AUTOSAR architecture and configuration is a plus
