Business Operations Specialist - Routing Telecom

Job Description and Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • SMS Routing profiles management
  • Manage SMS service providers connectivity
  • Apply SMS testing models
  • Monitor SMS live traffic quality standards
  • Ensure SMS Operations highest profitability

Job Duties

  • Maintain main and backup routes for destinations on CEQUENS system with same quality and features
  • Provide an insight in terms of which routes and rates are required from wholesale – carrier teams
  • Maintain updated coverage features sheet reflect existing main and backup routes
  • Reacting to low quality of delivery alerts and changing the routing to maintain a high deliverability
  • Set up clients (Enterprise – Wholesale) routing profiles according to traffic type
  • Develop and categorize routes based on different type of Products (Premium – Direct – LCR – etc…)
  • Generate quality index reports per country/product/client in order to analyze and investigate the root cause of delivery failures, take corrective actions to enhance performance
  • Handle daily tickets assigned from support team related to routing and quality issues for both Wholesale – Enterprise clients
  • Test newly interconnected suppliers/providers in terms of coverage/features and report results in order to take routing decision
  • Communicate and report to providers the live quality issues
  • Apply regular testing to Live routes and the alternatives to assure meeting quality standards
  • Automate and optimize testing process within availed tools/systems
  • Monitor live traffic/routes in terms of delivery and timing, take corrective route changes in case of deficiency or service degradation
  • Monitor Spam traffic and take proactive actions (Proactive maintaining of firewall through suspected wording system enrichment) reactive actions (Suspend source account and formal escalation with different stakeholders)
  • Monitor different traffic rules – filters, take corrective actions on system to ensure full execution
  • Optimize routing cost on various messaging products by analyzing cost structure of destinations, identifying best possible cost compared to available quality and taking actions by changing service provider according to analysis outcome
  • Communicate “Mandatory Increases - Decreases” of service providers to concerned parties, apply pricing decision related to routing model not to reflect by profit loss

  • Bachelor degree.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Messaging industry is preferred
