About the Children’s Museum Jordan:

 

The Museum is a national institution registered as an NGO and works in providing informal learning experiences to children aged between 1 and 12 years old.  The Children’s Museum receives 300,000 visitors annually from schools and families from all backgrounds.  The Museum is open to the public six days a week and is located inside the King Hussein Park (www.cmj.jo)

 

About the position:

 

Under this position, the candidate will be reporting to the Marketing& Communications Manager 

 

  • As the Department seeks to hire the right candidate, to oversee the process of taking the Department to the next level.  This includes but not limited to; manage all the Museum’s social media platforms, and the Museum’s website, Develop monthly social media plans and strategies and Create and edit promotional videos about the Museum, and its educational programs, activities, projects, etc.

Relevant Experience for the Position:

 The best candidate for this position will have at least two years in Digital Communications . 

  

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

 ·         Manage all the Museum’s social media platforms, and the Museum’s website

  • Develop monthly social media plans and strategies
  • Write content for all social media platforms (written content, videos, photographs)
  • Respond to all inquiries and comments on all the Museum’s social media pages/ accounts
  • Create and edit promotional videos about the Museum, and its educational programs, activities, projects, etc.
  • Photograph Museum’s activities and events when needed.
  • Generate reports on digital/ social media campaigns, and overall performance of social media activities on each platform.
  • Provide performance reports on digital communication campaigns, and insights (including the website)
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media tools, practices, features and trends.
  • Maintain a database of Museum’s visual content (photos, videos)
  • Go site visits outside the Museum, to any event and activities (site visits might include 2 -3/ year visits to Jordanian governorates)
  • Follow up on plans developed by the Marketing manager (digital marketing part)

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or any related field.
  • 2-3 Years of experience in a related field.
  • A certified social media and digital marketing expert training course is a plus.

 

Required Key Skills & requirements

 ·         Talented video editor

  • Strong skills in photography
  • Maximum of 2-year experience in working with social media marketing field.
  • Good content writing skills in English
  • Strong content writing skills in Arabic
  • Experience in working with social media tools
  • knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
  • Time management skills, and ability to work with deadlines
