Primary Purpose:
Provide training for teachers on early childhood education integrating protection and psychosocial components . conducting class monitoring visits for teacher
Main Duties:
1.Review and develop Training materials for teachers and parents training program .
2.Conduct technical assessments of teacher and parental capacities in child protection and Prenatal involvement.
3.Organize for and train teachers, parents and volunteers on protection and educational components of training curricula used in Khatawat; and ensure that outcomes of the training workshops are well documented and provide follow up with teachers through on-going technical assistance on education and protection.
4 Support the Program Manager in establishing a class mentoring system and school-based communities of practice by undertaking research on technical elements and formulating plans for roll-out of the system. Coordinates and undertakes focus group discussions around the communities (teachers and parents) of practice and in-class mentoring approaches.
5.Support Program manager with program officer in documenting and disseminating outputs through quarterly reports , beneficiary counts , and evaluation results .
6.Support program manger in planning and reporting
Education:
Bachelor Degree in education or related field .
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in early childhood education
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of and experience in the field of protection as it relates to young children and their families;
- Demonstrated ability to build capacities of teachers and work with underprivileged communities
- Excellent command of Arabic, spoken, written and read; good command of English
- Proven technical skills with effective personal communication skills
- Training of trainers or teachers training
