Research and Data Analyst for our Cleantech – Arab Region team; we are seeking extraordinary candidates interested in a career with a rapidly growing company that is one of the principal drivers of the cleantech category globally.
Position Overview
The Research and Data Analyst conducts primary and secondary research of the cleantech and related financial and investment markets as required. The responsibilities include the collection, verification and quality assurance of investment, market, technology, and financial data on the Cleantech related technology and sectors in the Arab Region. This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, and working independently and under tight deadlines to consistently produce high quality work that matches our high standards for accuracy, timeliness, relevancy, and professionalism.
Key responsibilities
• Effectively work under minimal supervision to conduct primary and secondary market research on Clean technologies and sectors in the Arab Region in English and Arabic
• Gather and analyze information on new venture capital deals, IPOs and M&A, corporations, entrepreneurial organizations, government agencies, academic institutions and other areas as assigned and taking responsibility for the quality of that data
• Gather and analyze other relevant information that might affect the performance of the industry or a specific industry segment
• Maintain up-to-date, approved data and information in databases
• Conduct market research interviews and surveys with investors groups, corporate executives, government officials and academic professionals as required
• Manage relationships with leading data sources and information providers to enhance visibility and establish an effective pipeline of high quality and timely information
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience leading primary and secondary market research
• BA/BS or higher degree in engineering and technology or business/finance (preferred)
• Established track record of analyzing and reporting data and research in both English and Arabic
• Knowledge of clean and emerging technologies a plus
• Strong interest in sustainability as a driver of technology investment and market development
• Detail oriented, highly organized and able to present key findings to senior management
• Proven research and data analytical skills
Language Proficiency:
· Fluency in English (reading, speaking ,writing)
· Fluency in Arabic (reading, speaking, writing), is a definite asset
