Job Description and Requirements

Summary

The purpose of the position is to ensure a sound country control environment, develop and implement country finance strategies and perform accounting tasks as per the APMM guidelines.

The successful candidate will report to WAC Cluster Finance Manager and be the sole responsible of accounting for Maersk Logistics / Damco in Jordan

Key responsibilities:
- Achieve KPIs set by the cluster finance manager.
- Ensure all statutory requirements are met.
- Compliance with APMM GAP/Local GAP
- Monthly reports/budgets/year end bookclose.
- Internal & external audits/cost savings
- Compliance with legal and audit requirements.
- Accounting/receivables/payables
- Posting of expenses
- Timely posting of all cash, cheques and bank transfers
- Maintain internal control
- Bank/inter-company balances/staff advance/
- Expense Reconciliations/Maintenance of books of accounts
- Year end book close and assist year-end audit
- Treasury related/Petty Cash payments

Skills & Competencies Required:
- Knowledge of APMM GAP
- Knowledge of Finance SOP and Finance Manager’s Manual
- Knowledge of Finance related systems.
- Accounting qualifications
- Knowledge of local laws and practices.
- Knowledge of DB2RRIS and HFM
- Analytical skills
- Knowledge of MONARCH and EXCEL
- Best accounting practices.
