Job Description and Requirements

Network Engineer

We are looking for a Network Engineer that can thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment. This person will help design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain networks. This person will be comfortable interfacing with customers as this is a technical support position.

 

Responsibilities: 

•      Configures, tests, and maintains Network equipments and related services in Hotel and Mall.

•      Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves Network problems

•      Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks

•      Maintain and support Mail’s and Hotel’s network environment

•      Minimum with 2 years experience  

 

Knowledge of:

•      General PC network connectivity maintenance & troubleshooting

•      Network operating systems including Windows and preferred UNIX and their communications needs and protocols

•      Data cabling, twisted pair and fiber

•      Electrical and mechanical principles

•      IP Telephony

•      ISDN and PSTN

•      IPTV (Preferable)

•      VLANs, STP, Trunks

•      Switching, and Routing

•      TCP/IP communications protocols and standards

•      Cisco and Nortel Operating System

•      Ethernet Technology

•      Telco communications equipment and protocols

•      Wireless communications standards

•      Domain Name Services; Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol;

•      Simple Mail Transport Protocol

•      Simple Network Management Protocol

•      Internet routing protocols

•      Current technological developments and trends in data networking

•      Security principles with the ability to assess risks; security hardware and software

•      Virtual Private Networks

•      Microsoft Office Suite

•      Project management principles

•      English usage and grammar

            

Note: Cisco or/and Nortel Certified Engineer is preferable.
