PROJECTS & LOGISTICS DIRECTOR

To manage complex, global initiatives support in Projects & Logistics / Supply Chain. The candidate will be responsible for managing cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to define, build and roll-out innovative technology and business process solutions that increase efficiencies, improve customer satisfaction, and drive revenue. 


Responsibilities: 
• Plan and oversee implementation of Health & Safety procedures and practices and organize regular training to team members for to handle the projects in all the aspects. 
• Ensure projects meet the health, safety and environment requirements thereby protecting the interests of the company and Participate in preparing the shipping, marking & packing instructions for each project. 
• Manage and develop project scope based upon input from Operations Support, Plant Optimization studies, Operations Manager, Maintenance Business Unites and AL technical discipline leads. 
• Responsible for sufficiently details to produce lump sum type engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) estimate to avoid process and design changes. 
• Manage existing specifications to ensure functional requirements are met at the lowest cost. 
• Estimate the project and optimize material and service cost by performing basic engineering calculations, design, equipment specification and procurement. 
• Manage and assist project startup, documentation, reporting, safety, budgeting, schedule and quality criterion. 
• Manage and directs project management work practices and tools. 
• Manage and direct strategies for Logistics 
• Ensure and monitor Logistics safety standards, compliance and optimize cost reduction.

Skills

• Degree in Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineer or equivalent 
• Experience in Designing, implementing, and maintaining Environmental and Occupational & Health Management Systems. 
• 5 - 10 yrs UAE/GCC experience in Logistic Management 
• Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus. 
• Good Analytical ability 
• Team player and team leader with commitment to partner and deliver 
• Entrepreneur with a keen eye on ways and means to minimize total cost to business 
• Passion for winning 
• Excellent man-management skills
