Engagement Leader

Responsibilities

The Engagement Leader is responsible for two broad responsibilities: People management, and Engagement management. A Cerner Engagement Leader participates in ongoing sales activities and strategizes with client to identify engagement opportunity and build vision, creates engagement proposal, and delivers to the client through the negotiation process and close of the contract.
 
The Engagement leader is also responsible to perform full scope of engagement oversight, gains control of the engagement from the sales team and plans engagement and procures resources. This individual applies Cerner's methodology and process to execute the engagement. Manages the engagement milestones and all relevant resources. Manages engagement expenses according to plan and participates in financial management of the engagement.
 
Other responsibilities include participating in client turnover from implementation to support. Supports people's professional development by assisting them with understanding career vector, providing growth and challenge within current role. Also supports associates professional development by assisting them with understanding career vector, providing growth and challenge within current role by assigning engagements that develop Associate, and identifying future opportunities within Cerner.

Requirements

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
-1-2 years of Engagement Management experience required
-Healthcare knowledge/experience preferred
-Financial Management experience required
-Resource Management experience required
-Experience managing a small team of people with disparate focuses
-Has fully participated in all engagement phases
-Ability to travel and work remotely (up to 80%)
-Ability to clearly communicate information through an appropriate method, reads and interprets complex information
-Talks with clients and listens well
-Ability to convince others in both positive or negative circumstances and ability to obtain
agreement from multiple parties
