Job Description and Requirements
Terms of Reference – Executive Secretary (ES)
Role
The ES will:
- Support the Royal Botanic Garden in secretarial and support functions as necessary.
- Provide human resources management services to RBG staff in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Maintain and update personnel records, contracts, MOUs and documentation.
- Assist in organizing workshops, meetings, activities and seminars as directed by the Executive Director.
- Maintain office equipment to ensure high productivity of staff and consultants.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Relationships
The ES will:
- Report to the Royal Botanic Garden Executive Director and Founder
- Maintain good communications with all RBG Staff and Consultants
- Maintain good communications with Project Donors, Partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications
The ES will have the following qualifications or be able to demonstrate:
- Bachelor degree in any management related field or Secretarial Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- An ability to work with a variety of people including government officials, international and national non-governmental organizations (NGOs), local stakeholders, experts and consultants.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
