Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform all accounting functions including bookkeeping and reporting as per IAS.
2. Book income on monthly basis.
3. Book vendors on monthly basis, and follow up on a timely basis for scheduled payments.
4. Reconcile all accounts (Petty cash-Banks- Receivables- Vendors- Prepaid- Accruals, revenues, etc) on monthly basis, and maintain accounting trial balance.
5. Petty cash supervision and maintenance.
6. Ensure prompt action of Employees travel related advances, thorough review of expense claims as per travel policy guidelines, and prompt reimbursement of cash.
7. Timely preparation of Payroll and payroll related benefits.
8. Prepare petty cash and bank payment vouchers for staff and vendors.
9. Logging and controlling fixed assets depreciation model- Straight-line method.

10. Timely updates of accounting package.

11. Prepare all types of financial reports and documentation.

12. Assist with budgeting and cost analysis.

13. Any other extra duties company may add.

14. Extend the needed support in conducting Due Diligence exercises.

15. Ability to consolidate financial statemenets.

16. Provide accounting support to all assets held for trading, i.e. restructuring of accounting entries and adjusting accounting records.  

Qualifications

• University education with an accounting or business degree.
• Up to two years of work experience, preferably with an audit firm.
• Accounting software experience, QuickBooks preferred.
• Able to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Can work under pressure in a small-team environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a solid command of Arabic and English
