Job Description and Requirements

The Marketing & English Copywriting Executive will work directly with the Marketing Manager to create & edit integrated copy that communicates messaging for the brand. In addition to, the candidate will contribute in developing marketing campaigns to promote the company’s products or services.

Tasks include, but are not limited to: 

  • Develop & edit written English content for various marketing material such as website, brochures, newsletters, email shots and press releases;
  • Integrate the copy with graphic images, and other visual components;
  • Responsible for reviewing and editing concepts and texts;
  • Translate copies from Arabic to English (Advanced Level);
  • Proof read Arabic copies (Basic Level);
  • Provide support when needed to develop graphics for collateral, presentations and proposals;
  • Manage the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters and e-newsletters;
  • Liaise and network with a range of stakeholders, e.g. customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organizations;
  • Liaise with designers and print houses;
  • Arrange for the effective distribution of marketing materials;
  • Maintain and update customer databases;
  • Organize and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions, book fairs and exhibitions;
  • Contribute to marketing plans and strategies;
  • Contribute to competitor activity & monitoring;

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in either Marketing or Copywriting;
  • Excellent English reading and writing skills are a must;
  • Must have diverse writing style and good communication skills;
  • Must have the ability to translate copy from Arabic to English;
  • Translating English to Arabic is not a must but it is favored;
  • English and Arabic proficiency and excellent grammatical, writing and editorial skills;
  • 1 year minimum experience in copywriting;
  • Portfolio of copywriting samples;
  • Computer software: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Creative thinker who thrives on finding solutions through words;
  • Solid understanding of consumers’ interaction with various media, and strength in adjusting language based on medium;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
