Procurement & Logistics Associate
Job Description and Requirements
The associate plays a strong team part to Identify and help to develop strategic relationships with current and potential partners, Assists in the development of a strong pipeline with suppliers through email or phone call communications. PL Associate works under general supervision in order to coordinate and monitor the activities of the procurement & logistics functions, plus to ensure set objectives are met.
Reporting to: Business Development Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES
1.Handling correspondences with suppliers.
2.Develop relationships with local and foreign vendors or suppliers.
3.Assist PL Supervisor in placing, processing and progressing orders.
4.Maintain orders' list for each supplier and ensure that the suppliers' database is kept up to date.
5.Coordinate with shipping agencies by choosing best prices, best delivery time and shipping methods.
6.Shipments follow up status update and deadline to ensure timely and quality procurement & logistics services provision.
7.Coordinate settlement of outstanding payments related to suppliers.
8.Proper quality control, specification compliance, monitoring and verification of deliveries.
9.Handling of documentation and filing process and ensure that all related procurement documentation and logistics documentation is completed to a high order of accuracy and in a timely fashion.
10.Handle the overall process effectively and efficiently.
11.Provide progress reports periodically.
12.Implement and execute approved work plans.
13.Coordination with different departments, each according to its specialty
14.Maintain departmental procedures to ensure ongoing ISO compliance and to ensure internal audits and are completed successfully.
15.This JDE cannot be exhaustive and the post-holder may be required to undertake other duties, which are broadly in line with the above key objectives.
