Job Description and Requirements
IRD is seeking qualified, senior and mid-level candidates for long-term positions in Jordan to include in their bid in response to the anticipated call for applications for a 5-year, USAID-funded Learning Environment Improvement Program (LEIP). It is anticipated that the program will focus on improving student well-being and school achievement through improving the learning environment.
These positions support the program to incentivize greater community involvement in the schools operation, management and use; support schools outreach to parents, business and community; develop school and community-based projects for implementation in the school generated from participatory and democratic processes. Applications are sought for both Amman-based posts and field-based posts
Minimum Qualifications:
• Significant professional experience and ability to provide advisory and technical assistance related to the themes of outreach and community mobilization.
• Demonstrated professional experience with successful outreach and/or mobilization campaigns or initiatives within Jordan.
• Demonstrable ability to interact with citizens from all social strata and with representatives from government, line ministries, municipalities, institution directors, managers and staff.
• Bachelor Degree, minimum
• At least 2 years in community outreach/development
• Demonstrable knowledge of Community mobilization approaches;
• Excellent written and spoken Arabic and good command of English;
• Strong communication skills.
