Senior HVAC Engineer

Job Responsibilities: • Design, test and install air conditioning ventilation and heating equipment for new constructions and for retrofitting old buildings. • conduct testing for load and energy consumption, perform mechanical calculations and develop requirements. • Servicing and repairing air conditioning equipment using approved procedures including documentation of work done, materials, and time-lines used. • Delivering new or hired machines and setting up ready for use with documentation; representing Mitsubishi Electric suitably at all times, with particular attention to courtesy, appearance and discretion. • Planning and directing the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment. • Maintaining portable cooling / ventilation equipment including PAT testing and keeping service records for future reference. • Improving techniques and increasing knowledge for repair and maintenance activities. • Notifying management concerning need for major repairs or additions to cooling / heating, and ventilating equipment. • Meeting with specialized parties to discuss blueprints, contacts contractors to submit bids, and meets with concerned supervisors to discuss different phases of work. • Reviewing and recommending or approve contracts and cost estimates. • Developing and implementing policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department. • Performing work within departmental expense plans as set in the yearly budget. • Coordinating and directing projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and direct the integration of technical activities. • Adhering to all safety policies and report any unsafe conditions to responsible authority in the company. • Recruiting Employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence. Job Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge: • Bachelor’s degree in HVAC or mechanical engineering, with strong computer skills and computer-aided drafting experience. • Proficient in refrigerants handling, and compressor replacement. • Installation of AC Systems. • Familiarity with VRF system. • Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in the same field. Skills: • Effective Communication skills. • Proven Managerial Skills. • Excellent of command of both written and spoken Arabic and English. Abilities: • Capacity to apply common sense of understanding to the details of work process, procedures, and programs. • Ability to prepare and maintain minutiae records and documents for the use of external and internal work related matters.
