Job Description and Requirements
• Responsible for the execution of the process according to IATA’s global Standard
Operating Procedures (SOP). Accountable to the region for the performance of the
process and to the Global Process Owner for compliance and improvement to the
SOP
• Coordinate the negotiation of new/improved legal banking agreements and
resolutions for every Billing and Settlement Plan and Cargo Account Settlement
Systems (BSP & CASS) in the region, according to IATA standards and regulations,
and in consideration with local banking structure and technology availability. If such
negotiations don't prosper, the incumbent is in charge to manage request for
proposal process by opening the market to other providers.
• Identify current/anticipated banking needs.
• Seek opportunities to improve banking contracts and agreements. e.g. Handling the
setup of overdraft facilities, internet banking, automating data interfaces through
bank files, banking rates and fees.
• Ensure IATA is complying with changes in financial laws and regulations on a per
country basis
• Identify potential risks in banking transactions due to changing country regulations
and banking regulatory policies.
• Support the local office by handling the drafting, follow up of banking reviews and
bank information updates and work in close collaboration with the Remittance &
Settlement and Finance departments at regional level.
• Promote relationships with banks to acquire, develop and strengthen banking
customer relationships in accordance with IATA business goals.
• Assume ownership of all follow-up tasks associated with addressing banking
documentation update requests.
All candidates should have the following skills and qualifications:
- A University Degree in business administration or a related field
- Business experience preferably in a multicultural dynamic environment
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong customer focus
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast paced and highly demanding
environment while delivering results with speed
- Work as a unified team with a global mindset
- Demonstrate leadership and personal integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office
