SME IPTV Middleware Systems Administrator

A leading multinational company specialized in technology solutions are looking for an SME IPTV middleware systems administrator for its operations in Dubai. The major purposes for the job are as follows: 1- To operate, maintain and support the IPTV Middleware Platform. Troubleshoot customer issues and support field technicians to resolve the issues. 2- Provide onsite support and analysis for systems outages and service interruption 24 x 7 x 365. The candidate is required to have the following set of Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competencies: 1- Solid experience with various Microsoft platform, backup strategies , and servers disaster recovery 2- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux OS, Windows 2003, Active Server in multiple domain/multiple forest configurations, SMS 2003, MoM 2005, IIS6, SQL, Server 2000. 3- Solid experience with systems monitoring, testing, performance, and management 4- Solid experience working, supporting, and troubleshooting servers hardware and software 5- Solid experience supporting large and medium scale servers 6- Fully capable of working with a variety of information technology systems topics 7- Experience in network management, communication protocols (IP, TCP-IP, UDP), digital video protocols, test equipment selection and application. A minimum Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering is required. MCSE 2003, RHCE, Solaris/HP-UX certifications holders are preferred CCNA certification will be advantage. The position entails experience with the following characteristics: 1- At least 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of IPTV Middleware Platform (MSTV). 2- Technical work experience in the area of Video as it pertains to satellite cable TV, and/or IPTV entertainment solutions. 3- Solid experience working with Windows, UNIX platforms, backup strategies, and servers disaster recovery 4- Experience in maintaining and applying security policies. The duration of employment contract is 3 to 6 months
