Senior Safety & Health Advisor

Responsabilities: -Defines, get approval for and implement required safety, health and environmental programs and establish corresponding personal and resources requirements. -Trains and supervises concerned staff, set goals and priorities, assesses performance and provide feedback to management about the existing safety and environment conditions. -Develops and implements short term and long term plans to improve staff safety and working environment conditions in accordance with Jordan labour law and social security law /Occupational Safety and Health Institute (OSHI). -Represent and Interact with the civil defence on behalf of Jordan telecom group, enforce safety and environment regulations, and ensure staff compliance with it -Provides management with regular reporting, as required and prepare memorandums for the employees regarding pertinent safety issues. -Develops and distributes safety manuals and instruction and communicate best safety practice to protect from injuries or accidents. -To develop in coordination with the policy department manager the needed safety and environment policies required to ensure proper applications by all employees. -To recommend penalties against employees violating the safety and environment policies. -To promote and maintain standards for safety conscious awareness and behaviour through internal communication campaign. -To prepare and manage the department budget to achieve JTG goals. -To conduct Occupational Health and Safety audit visits on a regular bases across the JTG promises and sites in order to ensure the implementation of the health and safety regulations. Education & Skills: -Bsc. Degree in engineering or any related field with a 3 years experience. -Good Communication and Management skills. -Good knowledge of Jordan labour law, JTG bylaws and Social security law. -Good back ground about the telecom business and the existing risks facing employees in all domains -Good reporting , Negotiation, Initiative skills -Autonomous with the ability to work under stress -Proficiency in English as a working language is a must -Good knowledge of Telecom regulations and requirements. -High analytical and problem solving skills -Good financial skills to manage and assets and budget -Good communication skills with ability to deal with others at all levels
