and i will answer the asp,net part Microsoft made the world of programming easer and with the .net frame work which you will get in one complete package with every thing you need but with php you need to choose a web server and download one and then you have to go looking for a good gui environment to work on and then you have to look a database server its a litl missed up if you are a developer ot a bussiness owner go with ASP.NET 2.0 and the whole .net frame work

i can answer the one about RUBY on RAILS and PHP ........... RUBY on RAILS was a thought been waiting to be made since the seventies , and when it came real with the MODEL-VIEW-CONTROLLER vision , CakePHP stepped ahead with more helpers , classes , and elegancy in developing , which made PHP a better scripting language using the same method with the CAKE platform ........... :D

What do you guys think of Ruby on Rails vs. PHP vs. ASP.net?
