Technical Support & Network Administrator
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage all IT systems, including LAN, WAN, DVR System and related systems.
This includes:
- Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
- Performing and coordinating effective installation and performance of advanced operating system hardware and software on servers.
- Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.
- Support and maintain end user requirements, including troubleshooting, account maintenance and training.
- Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures related to IT.
- Maintain, monitor, analyze system components and make recommendations regarding computer system security, monitor network, computer and disk utilization.
- Play a lead role in developing and implementing an IT disaster recovery plan.
- Inventory and provide accounting for company resources including software, server, workstation and laptop systems.
- Conduct software and hardware evaluations, provide technical analysis and implement systems to meet the company’s IT goals.
- Develop a strategic IT plan to meet the requirements of company overall growth plan to be reviewed on a regular basis with Management and adjusted as necessary.
- Work with a team to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions as needed.
- Be responsible for managing the IT system to meet strategic goals.
- Obtain and/or maintain technical certifications necessary for continued company growth and success.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain professionalism, good attitude and appropriate behavior with company personnel.
Skills Required
- Provided technical support to end-users in hardware/software proficiency (for corporate solutions).
- Troubleshooting on network connectivity, desktop configuration, printer’s connectivity, and network access issues.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute hardware, software and network installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Managing and Maintaining Access to Resources: This includes configuring access to shared folders; troubleshooting Terminal Services; configuring file system permissions; and troubleshooting access to files and shared folders.
- Experience with operating system Windows server 2008 & 2003.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, AD 2008, DNS, DHCP.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL-Server.
- Working knowledge of Oracle.
- Working knowledge of Citrix.
- Working knowledge of fortigate firewall.
- Working knowledge of good server and system administration principles.
- Working experience with Backup solutions.
- Development of IT Policies and Procedures
- Monitoring IT infrastructure use and providing accountability
- Foster clear communications and maintain excellent staff and client working relations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science related field or equivalent experience
- CCNA certified preferred
- MCITP certified preferred
- MCSA / MCSE certified preferred
- 1+ years experience preferred
